La Fondation Merck marque aujourd'hui la Journée Internationale pour l'élimination de la Violence à l'égard des Femmes

 

• Et marque aussi le début des « 16 jours d'activisme » qui précèdent la Journée des Droits de l'Homme le 10 décembre de chaque année

26^th November 2018, Nairobi, Kenya: La Fondation Merck marque aujourd'hui la Journée Internationale pour l'élimination de la Violence à l'égard des Femmes, et marque aussi le début des « 16 jours d'activisme » qui précèdent la Journée des Droits de l'Homme le 10 décembre de chaque année.


 
Dans le cadre de leur campagne « Merck more than a Mother » vise à autonomiser les femmes infertiles contre toutes les formes de discrimination, d’abus et de violence psychologique et physique en raison de leur incapacité à avoir des enfants.


 
« Ensemble avec nos partenaires et nos ambassadrices, nous pouvons créer un changement de culture pour sensibiliser toutes les communautés au respect des femmes, qu'elles soient mères ou non. Les femmes sont plus que des mères, c'est ce que nous défendons. Non pour la violence à l'égard des femmes et #NoForInfertilityStigma (Non pour la stigmatisation liée à l'infertilité). La Fondation Merck célèbre aujourd'hui et chaque jour la Journée Internationale contre la violence domestique à l'égard des femmes dans le cadre de nos activités quotidiennes visant à autonomiser les femmes infertiles grâce à l'accès à l'information, à la santé, changement de mentalité et autonomisation économique pour qu'elles puissent être indépendantes et plus fortes » Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO Merck Foundation & President of Merck more than a Mother.
