This is a great support to achieve our objectives of advancing capacity of African Media personnel and raise awareness about COVID-19 pandemic.
Big congratulations to all the winners who have exhibited passion, devotion, and innovation in their work while covering and sharing information on Coronavirus. I sincerely believe that media plays a critical role in raising awareness and sensitizing communities about pressing issues such as breaking the stigma of infertility and girls’ education. We welcome the winners as Merck Foundation Alumni and we hope to work with them, together, to create a culture shift as a part of ‘Merck More Than a Mother’ and ‘Educating Linda’ programs.
